› Assisting victims and their families by providing therapy services.
› Assisting adults leaving abusive relationships by providing legal support and services.

Our History
In 1999, the Yavapai County Children’s Justice Task Force recommended the establishment of a forensic center which would provide victim-centered services and a shared space for investigators, prosecutors, child protection, sexual assault nurses, and forensic interviewers. Out of that vision, the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center was born.
At the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center, victims have the opportunity to obtain a variety of crisis services in one location, with all agencies working together in the best interest of the victim. In one location the victim can receive a forensic interview, a sexual assault exam and speak with victim advocates who will address their immediate needs and provide emotional support. Trauma is minimized by limiting the number of times a victim must tell their story.
The Yavapai Family Advocacy Center is supported by all local and regional governments, law enforcement agencies, social service providers, medical and mental health professionals and the Yavapai County Attorney.
